Utility Joint Trenching
One trench, multiple utilities. We dig and prepare joint trenches for PG&E gas and electric, AT&T, fiber optic cable and CATV, on projects from single-family homes to new developments.
Whether you are a private homeowner, a commercial business owner or a land developer, we provide excavation services built around your project. Our scope runs from Rule 15 and Rule 20 projects to single-family homes. No matter the size of the job, the standard is the same.
Hudson Excavation handles underground utility work for new developments, commercial properties and homes in Northern California. That includes joint trenching for PG&E gas and electric, AT&T, fiber optic and CATV, cable pulling and splicing, street light and site lighting installation, and complete house and building service completions. Project scope ranges from Rule 15 and Rule 20 utility projects to single-family homes.
From large Rule 15 and Rule 20 projects to a single-family home, we bring the same crew discipline to every trench.

Underground gas and electric work performed by crews who hold current PG&E Operator Qualifications. We install PG&E gas and electric for new developments, commercial projects and single-family homes.
Pulling cable through new conduit and splicing it so the line is ready to serve. The same contractor that opens the ground can see the line through to the connection.
Underground installation for AT&T services, fiber optic cable and cable TV lines, usually planned into the same joint trench as power and gas.
Street light installation for public streets and site lighting for developments and commercial properties, including the underground work that feeds them.
All the trenching and utility services a new development needs, to the site and to each building. One contractor, from the main line to the last structure.
In California utility work, Rule 15 covers new distribution line extensions for new jobs or areas without service, and Rule 20 covers converting existing overhead electric facilities to underground. Hudson Excavation takes on projects under both, along with smaller residential jobs. If you are not sure which category your project falls under, send us what you have and we will talk it through.
